The 7th Annual International Nuclear Power Plant Operation and Maintains Conference And Exhibition - INPOM 2020 held in Rongcheng, China on September 9-10, brought together leaders of the Chinese nuclear power industry. The primary goal of the event is to share experience in operation and maintenance of nuclear power plants in China.

Dmitry Strelnikov, General Manager of “Rosatom East Asia” regional office participated in the first day’s plenary conference with video presentation on “Experience of operating Russian design NPPs in Russia and abroad”. Sharing the latest achievements in VVER-1200 technology implementation, he reminded the audience that on August 31 this year the unit 2 of Leningrad NPP II has been brought to the minimum controllable power level for the first time. The power unit is scheduled to be commissioned in 2021. Dmitry Strelnikov talked about fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and China on the Tianwan nuclear power plant project and reminded the audience that there are additional 4 units – units № 7-8 of the Tianwan NPP and units № 3-4 of Xudapu NPP that are going to be built in future. Dmitry Strelnikov expressed the hope that new units will effectively serve China.
